Over 70-Years in the Heart of Vitosha

Septemvri Chalet is one of those places that are not just visited, but experienced. Nestled in a mixed deciduous and evergreen forest on the northern slopes of Vitosha, below Balabana Peak (1722m), it is located at 1495m above sea level and offers a unique combination of nature, comfort, modern amenities and authentic atmosphere.

Born in 1952 from the hands and hearts of volunteers, the hut rose during a time when organized tourism was thriving in Bulgaria.
Through the years, it became a cherished refuge for hikers and artists alike, drawn to the inspiration of the mountains.

Today, the lodge offers cozy accommodations, delicious home-cooked meals, the ability to work remotely, warmth in the winter and coolness in the summer. Although renovated, it keeps the spirit of the mountain and is a place for real human encounters.

It is easily accessible by a paved road through the Golden Bridges and welcomes families, couples, individual tourists and organized groups with open arms.
